Buteyko Center USA was founded in 2009 by Sasha and Thomas Yakovlev-Fredricksen at the request of Ludmila Buteyko, Ph.D. and Andrey Novozhilov, M.D. |
The Buteyko Center USA is the exclusive official representation of the Buteyko Clinic (Moscow). Its purpose is to improve the quality of professional education for Buteyko practitioners and to coordinate their efforts.
Ludmila and Andrey were the closest people to Konstantin Buteyko and worked with him on daily basis; they have dedicated their lives to the development of his discoveries.
Ludmila and Andrey intent to use the Buteyko Center USA as their platform in the Western Hemisphere in order to disseminate this knowledge to all Buteyko Practitioners. To this end, the Center offers online interviews with Ludmila and Andrey, which help practitioners to clarify the specifics of the Method (simultaneous translation is available).
In May 2010 the Buteyko Center USA located in legendary town of Woodstock, NY will present a series of professional trainings, together with the 2010 International Buteyko Conference. These events will be lead by L.Buteyko, A.Novozhilov and Taras Shchetinin, the C.E.O. of the Moscow Clinic. Together with Thomas and Sasha, they feel that the trainings and conference will make a significant contribution in fulfilling the dream of Konstantin Buteyko: to create the standardization of the Buteyko Method for practitioners all over the world.
